A registered dietitian who specializes in oncology nutrition, particularly during chemotherapy or radiation, can develop eating plans to help patients strengthen their immune systems and promote recovery. Counseling is available by physician referral only. For more information, call 410-871-7678.
Patients and community members may check out a variety of print and video resources, from the Oncology Unit Resource Center or The Women’s Place Resource Center to help them stay informed about their condition or take steps to prevent illness. Our on-site boutique is stocked with the latest merchandise for women who are experiencing the appearance-related side effects associated with cancer. Breast Cancer Support Group
The Breast Center hosts a monthly breast cancer support group to help women better understand and manage with the challenges and triumphs associated with the recovery process. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in The Outpatient Center Classroom at Carroll Hospital Center, 200 Memorial Ave., Westminster.
Look Good, Feel Better
Patients who are undergoing chemotherapy can benefit from this free American Cancer Society program, held once a month to help women cope with the appearance-related side effects of their treatment.
I Can Cope
Once a month, Carroll Hospital Center hosts this special educational program, sponsored by the American Cancer Society. A variety of informative workshops are offered, with topics ranging from self-esteem and pain management to intimacy and financial issues.

Cancer Support Group
Carroll Hospital Center facilitates a support group to provide support and education to men and women with all types of cancer and their caregivers. The group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month (except holidays) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at The Outpatient Center Classroom at Carroll Hospital Center, 200 Memorial Ave., Westminster.
